So what do you do for peace? How do you calm the chatter in your mind? September 21st is International Day of Peace which recognizes the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. Peace Day was created by the United Nations in 1981. This is also known as the day of Global Ceasefire. It is the hope that this 24 hour period will provide relief to the civilians that must endure the war and allow relief workers to provide food, water and medical supplies.
